Pause music during background music off

I am creating a Vidday that is a mix of photos and videos -I’ve uploaded my own mp3 songs and was working on timing them to the photos I had. But I realized that when I select background music off for a video submission the song is still playing, it’s just not heard. This makes it hard to time my music to photos. The song should instead pause and pick back up again when audio is on. Or that should at least be an option -’turn background music off’ along with ‘pause background music’
